New Director of Industry in Tabacuba

The Board of Directors of the Tabacuba Business Group recently incorporated Miguel Bárzaga Maceo as Director of Industry, who has more than 28 years of experience in the tobacco industry. He began as a roller apprentice in 1994 at the José Martí (H.Upmann) factory and a year later he became a roller in the galley.

Around 1996 he was appointed 2nd Head of the Crooked Department and in 1998 Head of Department. In 1999 he was appointed Head of Production and in the year 2000 he held the position of Productive Technical Sub-Director. In 2008, he started working at Fábrica H.Upmann in 2012 when he worked with Grupo Tabacuba as Technician A in Economic Management. In 2013 he served as Agroindustrial Technician A and in 2021 he was appointed Director of the UEB Industry Commercial Operations until his appointment as Industry Director of the tobacco group.

Bárzaga has made a tour of the twisting industry from the base to the management of a factory and in the Tabacuba Business Group. Miguel Bárzaga Maceo is well known for being one of those in charge of directing the rolling classes that are held within the framework of the Habano Festival. The previous Director, Raúl Hernández Ferrer, held other responsibilities in the Tobacco Trading Company in Rama, La Vega.
