Cuban Archivist Day

Like every November 3, we celebrate in our country the Day of the Cuban Archivist, instituted in commemoration of the official appointment, in 1922, of Joaquín Llaverías Martínez, as Director of the National Archive of the Island of Cuba.

Llaverías, an illustrious figure, is considered the most prominent promoter of archival activity in the country, a writer, researcher and archivist who dedicated 58 years of his life to the conservation and dissemination of the stationery of this Cuban institution.

In recognition of the work of the personnel dedicated to document management of the public administration, guarantors of the veracity of administrative documentation and safeguarding of documentary heritage in the Tabacuba Business Group, today we extend the message of congratulations to those who dedicate their lives to this beautiful profession.
